HAPPY INTERNATIONAL MIDWIVES DAY!
To each one of you midwives out there: your passion, creativity, intuition and talent inspires me. Thank you for each and every baby that you have caught, for each woman you have made feel safe and empowered and, for all of those sleepless nights. The world is a better place because of you.

I didn't even know there was an International Midwives Day. Thanks for sharing!

My first birth as a labor support doula was with a midwife. Along with caring for the laboring mom- the midwife showed me some new pain management techniques and how to work with the mom. She was really an amazing guide. It was quite a shocker when my next few were with pretty conservative OB/GYNs.

Thank you, midwives for showing me another method of birthing. You have all been such great teachers!

Hi Deb- thanks for helping celebrate midwives! They truly are a special bunch of ladies.
I also just wanted to give a "shout-out" to the midwives that have been such an amazing part of my life this past year: Katherine, Yulia, Asya and Andrea at the Brooklyn Birthing Center.
